I rarely do an entire outfit by one designer or label but this was the summer I went mad. I blame it on Paris. I was not myself–it was as if I had assumed a persona that’s much more daring and reckless than I could ever imagine myself to be. I did a lot of crazy stuff that summer.
The salesmen at Colette were boys who were bored with the older women who could actually afford to buy the things there, and they let me try on anything if I just flirted with them–I would play dress up for hours and I didn’t have to buy anything. It was amazing how they could guess my size exactly by just a glance. Taille 38.
The day before I had to return to LA, I was feeling greedy AF. I had to have it all–the works. The metallic purple leather headband, the dress, the purse, the shoes–the complete ensemble. All by Miu Miu. The combination of rich purple and chocolate brown was too irresistible.
Never regretted the splurge. Everything still looks classy and timeless.
